Tan a Dolphin, Build a Tent

Seth Godin talks about the instructions to find tanned dolphin skin in construction of the temple of meeting. As if building an enormous temple that would house the arc of the covenant wasn’t a tall enough order, he is then instructed to go find some dolphin. It says something about the buy-in of a leader to the vision when he or she is willing to take on a seemingly impossible task in order to complete a bigger, even more seemingly impossible task. Get the dolphin…then build the giant tent.It makes me wonder how many of us are chasing tasks we can handle on our own.
May I ask:
What have you done lately that would have been doomed to fail without divine intervention or instruction? I really struggle with how much I say I trust in God vs. how much I act like I trust in God. We can all talk by faith, but how many of us walk by faith? I believe I am on a mission to find and tan a dolphin…and then to go build a temple. I hope you get to experience a moment in your life like this if you haven’t already. Go fish…er, mammal…
